African Bank Investments Limited (ABIL), incorporating leading credit provider African Bank and furniture retailer Ellerines, has streamlined its operations and trimmed costs by integrating its faxing using a RightFax server from Vox Amvia.
“Fax is still an important part of the banking business,” says ABIL systems manager Tinus Rautenbach. “It’s used a lot in the bank’s collections and legal divisions, as well as in the credit applications process at Ellerines.”
“The security and reliability of faxing makes it a critical part of many financial transactions,” confirms Vox Amvia’s Boudje Giljam. “It is almost impossible to tamper with compared to email, it provides reliable delivery receipts and it preserves original documents in a way that’s acceptable in a court of law. But it does need to be carefully managed, or many of those advantages can be lost.”
“We needed to be able to track our faxes accurately,” says Rautenbach. “That wasn’t possible when we were using a combination of isolated fax machines, multi-function printers and fax to email. RightFax has enabled us to pull everything together in one place, with a full audit trail and proper control.”
ABIL has two dedicated Rightfax lines, with Ellerines the latest addition.
“RightFax allows companies to manage complex fax environments securely and reliably,” says Giljam. “It can also save a great deal of money. ABIL can now manage its fax traffic to reduce the overall cost of faxing, and the costs are under control.”
