Following on from the highly successful Vox ADSL phone, Vox have released the new Vox Supafone, a multi-functional, high-quality cordless phone which makes calls over the internet.
According to Vox Telepreneur’s Head of Sales and Marketing, Mark King, there are some essential differences with the new product, which they believe will elevate the internet phone offering into a league of its own.
“The phone, which has been built specifically for Vox by German telephony leaders Gigaset Communications, is easy to install and allows for seamless integration with a customer’s current ADSL setup. Some of our major differentiators include affordable call costs, free Vox-to-Vox calls, rebates on incoming calls and no contracts to tie customers down,” says King.
The Vox Supafone offers customers lower prices than Telkom on land line numbers, 26% savings on cellular calls, 40% savings on national calls and 50% discount on international calls.
“Vox customers are also able to generate rebates on incoming calls, which lets them earn money and in the process reduce their monthly phone bills,” adds King.
Features of the Vox Supafone include caller line ID, itemised call billing, itemised call rebates and free voicemail. It also offers dual functionality, making it easy to switch between internet and fixed-line calls and allows the user to register up to 6 handsets and make up to 3 calls simultaneously.
King says that Vox will initially be offering two packages, with the entry option costing R225 a month. This price includes R200 worth of talk time and rental of the Vox Supafone unit.
“A great deal of development has gone into this product to ensure that it’s ideal for the local small office and home environment. The Vox Supafone will revolutionise telephony as we know it,” adds King.
