Principal Job Responsibilities: (Duties include, but are not limited to)

• Client relations management – experience of technology customer service essential
• Provide strategic input and manage the developments of plans for up to 5 Enterprise Tech clients simultaneously
• Share your knowledge, process and results with the team ongoingly for knowledge transfer.
• Write technology orientated press announcements and thought leadership pieces with the support of our professional content specialists
• Co-ordinate and manage digital marketing campaigns for optimum results
• Quality assure delivery of the team and its outputs including proposals and pitches
• Facilitate strategic client workshops
• Deliver plans against SLAs, on time and within budget
• Prioritise tasks on a weekly basis for the team and set internal deadlines
• Assess the success of plans in implementation
• Build strong personal relationships with the media
• Facilitate knowledge sharing events for the DUO team
• Build the DUO brand through networking and attending the required events
• Act as a final escalation point and facilitate successful problem resolution
• Monitor expenditures against budgets to ensure targets are met
• Key relationships; Clients, Suppliers, Copywriters, Media
• Monthly reporting
• Administration of accounts (records, billing etc.)
• Knowledge management
• Select and ensure training and orientation of new employees
• Ensure a seamless working environment by providing effective cross-functional communication

This programme will be a practical, mentored, hands on first-job environment where DUO will teach the selected graduate the foundations of how to effectively elevate the brands of enterprise technology companies in South Africa through PR and digital marketing efforts.

One successful applicant will be selected for our Johannesburg branch and one applicant for our Cape Town branch.

The programme duration will be 6 months with the possibility of full-time employment should the graduate prove to match DUO’s standard of excellence, and collaborative company culture.

This Graduate Programme is a paid, non linear learning opportunity which will take the form of practical, on the job mentoring and task setting rather than a typical academic approach.

Selection criteria

We are looking for applicants with a real hunger to deliver excellence in PR and demonstrate a match with DUO’s value and culture. The successful applicant will aspire to The Essence of DUO.

We will be selecting candidates based on submission of the following:

• CV with a motivation letter as to why DUO should consider you for this graduate program. Please specify your preference of Cape Town or Johannesburg
• Academic results of 75% or above
• University transcripts
• A letter of reference from a professional source
